Campfire Circle
Throughout the camping season and dependent on numbers of campers, the Middlewood team run open campfires with songs and campfire stunts. All campers and visitors are welcome to attend. These usually take place at 8pm on the Saturday evening. Groups are also welcome to run their own campfires. Click here to contact the booking secretary for futher information.
Rifle Range
Middlewood has its own rifle range and air rifles (.177). This activity is only available to members of the Scout association. Certain conditions have to be met by groups wishing to use this facility. Click here to contact the booking secretary for further information.
Middlewood Lake
One of Middlewood's main features is the large boating lake. This is co-leased with Broughton Angling Club. As such we have a limited number of fishing day permits available for Scout Association Members only. The lake can also be used for canoeing and rafting activities. Pioneering
Middlewood has a wide selection of poles, spars and ropes. These are ideal for groups wishing to construct pioneering projects on site, without having the hassle of getting the kit to site! Click here to contact the booking secretary for further information.
Wild Wings Birds of Prey Centre
